Deltrease has 30+ years of accounting and tax experience. She specializes in providing accounting and tax services to small businesses and their owners. In her practice, D. Hart Accounting, she focuses on providing Tax Resolution and Advisory services. D. Hart Accounting provides tax problem help services that include representation, wage garnishments/bank levies, liens, audits and more. Deltrease’s extensive training in the field of Tax Resolution allows her to lend her expertise to not only her clients, but also to other tax professionals and attorneys across the United States.
Prior to going into private practice full-time, Deltrease spent over 10 years in accounting and finance departments at the corporate level for various Fortune 500 companies. While full-time in Corporate America, she also spent 10 years part-time preparing taxes and teaching for the largest retail tax preparation company in the U.S. She earned her BS in Accounting from South Carolina State University and MS in Taxation from Strayer University.
She is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for real estate investing. She’s a frequent speaker on tax and small business topics where she shares her expertise and real-life experience with her peers of other tax professionals, real estate investors and small business owners. Deltrease is also an adjunct accounting professor, podcaster and small business advocate. She is a governor appointed board member of the South Carolina Board of Accountancy. Deltrease is a proud alumni of Goldman Sachs 10k Small Business and NASDAQ Milestone Circles programs. In her spare time, she enjoys watching NBA games (preferably attending live) with her husband and playing Sudoku.
