Erik Sussman is the CEO and Founder of the IFW and brings over 26 years of financial services experience, success and insight to his role.At the age of 22 Erik entered the financial services industry after graduating from the University of Maryland.
He started his career in New York City as a junior financial professional and just two years later was promoted into sales management and started mentoring others. In 1998, at the age of 26, he became the youngest ever Executive Vice President, for an international financial services conglomerate, guiding the direction of the Southern California Region.
In 2006, Erik relocated to South Florida and went on to become CEO for two Fortune 500 financial services firms leading and mentoring hundreds of financial professionals for over 15 years.
Throughout his career Erik has won over 30 awards for his thought leadership, recruitment and development of financial professionals, and success at connecting financial professionals with consumers seeking financial guidance.
Erik is a Certified Financial Planner®, Chartered Financial Consultant® and Chartered Life Underwriter. Additionally, he is a Registered Investment Advisor and holds a B.S. from the University of Maryland, College Park. Erik has served as a Board member of Junior Achievement & Jewish Federation of Broward County. He currently lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, surrounded by close family, friends, and his pride and joy, his beautiful daughter, Olivia.
