Dr. Willem M. de Vos is a world-renowned microbiologist with a PhD in Biochemistry from Groningen University. His academic career includes professorship and research positions at Wageningen University and the University of Helsinki. He is now Emeritus at both institutions and Visiting Professor at Amsterdam University Medical Centre.
He has supervised 120+ PhDs, published 850+ papers, holds 50+ patents, and is the most cited author in Microbiology, Bacterial Genetics, and Microbial Ecology (h-index >200, 200k+ citations).
