Malte joined Caterpillar in 2013 as a project engineer in application engineering for gas engine power plants, closely working with development teams and suppliers to integrate new parts and improve solutions. Moving into controls software development as system integrator, Malte was responsible for integration of new functionality, from creating requirements to their implementation.
After leading development teams as New Product Integration team lead, Malte has been working as a product definition and strategy manager for gas generator sets since 2002.
Malte studied at the universities in Hamburg and Hannover, Germany, and holds a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in mechanical engineering, with focus on thermodynamics and energy systems.
