Caius Pawson founded Young Turks in 2005, initially as a series of raves and gigs. While always maintaining the spirit of those formative years, Young Turks now works across a broad spectrum of the arts. Via the Young Turks record label, publishing and artist management set ups, Caius works with the likes of The xx, Jamie xx, Sampha, FKA twigs, Kamasi Washington, SBTRKT and El Guincho among others. Meanwhile, Young Turks’ evolution and diversification has seen them producing festivals, short films, contemporary ballets and an assortment of other artistic activities. Caius is also a Director at XL Recordings, where he signed Tyler the Creator. He also A&R’d Frank Ocean’s Endless.
