Laurence Thiery is the Head of Asia Pacific Financial Services Business and Market Development at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In her role, Laurence is responsible for leading the development and execution of AWS’s strategic initiatives in the financial services industry in Asia Pacific. She advises customers and partners in their cloud adoption journey. Prior to joining AWS, Laurence was the Head of Strategy and Content for Asia Pacific at the New York Stock Exchange Technologies, where she was responsible for leading the NYSE Euronext data content and NYSE Technologies strategic initiatives. Before-hand she worked in the US and Europe as a management consultant, for KPMG Consulting in the Technology Financial Industry division. Her customers included UBS, China Construction Bank, KPN, Cisco, NASD (now FINRA), Chase (now JPMC), and Deutsche Bank. She has 20 years of experience in both the financial services and telecommunications industries. Laurence holds a Master in Computer Sciences from Télécom ParisTech ENST, and an Executive MBA degree from INSEAD.
