Bio
Jakub received his bachelor and masters degrees from Masaryk University, in Brno, the Czech Republic, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, U.K., in 2006, 2009, and 2012, respectively. He has worked in two start-ups, at ARM Ltd., at the University of Edinburgh, at the University of Toronto, at IBM Research -- Ireland, and at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently a faculty member at the Czech Technical University in Prague, the Czech Republic. He coordinates humancompatible.org, a project funded by the European Commission to develop human-compatible AI with guarantees.
