Brad Mattson is a seasoned executive and investor who transitioned from a successful career in the semiconductor industry to become a leader in cleantech and renewable energy. He served as a Partner at Vantage Point Capital Partners, where he led investments in the solar industry, and later as CEO of SivaPower, developing technology to significantly lower the manufacturing cost of solar panels. His passion for leveraging technology for social good was solidified during his time on the board of Santa Clara University’s Center for Social Entrepreneurship, which helped incubate impactful companies, including his future venture, Husk Power Systems.
As the co-founder and Chairman of Husk Power Systems, Mr. Mattson is at the forefront of solving global energy poverty. Husk Power is a market leader in deploying 100% renewable minigrid technology to provide reliable, 24/7 power to communities with little or no access to electricity. The company has a significant goal to deploy 10,000 minigrids by 2030, aiming to address critical energy access and transition challenges. Reinforcing his commitment to this mission, he also serves on the Advisory Board for Shell New Energies and the Board of the African Minigrid Developers Association (AMDA).
