Prof. Dr. Thomas Rustemeyer works as professor in dermato-allergology at the Amsterdam university medical center since 2005. He has a high interest in functioning of the immune system and the interaction of humans with their environment. Among his primary interests are labour dermatology and immunological diseases like atopic dermatitis. His research focuses on better understanding of immunological mechanisms involved in (chronic) inflammatory responses, with a special interest for the role of allergens.
