Matthew R. Shupp is a faculty member in the Department of Counseling and College Student Personnel at Shippensburg University and Coordinator of the College Counseling and College Student Personnel specializations. Prior to this position, he served as a student affairs administrator for 12 years in a variety of institutional settings. He received his B.A. in Psychology as well as his M.S. in Counseling from Shippensburg University and his Ed.D. in Higher Education Administrative Leadership from Widener University. He is both a National Certified Counselor (NCC) as well as a Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC). He is Past-President of the Pennsylvania College Personnel Association (PCPA) and serves on the association's Executive Board. Dr. Shupp has presented at higher education and student leadership conferences all over the country. His research areas of interest focus on entry-level staff supervision, student leadership, and well-rounded (holistic) college experiences for students.
