Jennifer Best is a Senior Planner in York Region’s Long-Range Planning division currently holding the agricultural, source protection and water/wastewater servicing profiles. Currently with an update to the York Region Official Plan, Jennifer is focused on policy writing for these areas of interest. She brings over 20 years of both development and policy planning working at both the local and regional municipal levels. Jennifer is a collaborator and believes that bringing people together is the best method for implementable policy. She holds a degree in urban and regional planning and a master’s in public administration. Jennifer loves everything about rural planning as she grew up in a small town surrounded by a prosperous farming community.
