James Mategko is the Head of AI Engineering at Absci, where he leads the teams building the infrastructure, platforms, AI/ML, and lab-in-the-loop systems behind Origin-1, Absci's generative AI platform for de novo antibody design. He brings 14 years of experience designing full-stack products and distributed AI/MLOps systems at organizations ranging from growth-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies. At Absci, he designed and scaled the AI Platform and AI Infrastructure teams, and collaborates closely with the AI Research and wet lab teams that created Origin-1.
