Yadexy Sierra is the Chief Operations Officer for Mech-Tech College in Puerto Rico and Mech-Tech Institute in Florida; a Vocational/Title IV institution with six campuses, where she has worked for 19 years. As Chief Operations Officer, Yadexy leads the Senior Management Team ensuring compliant policies and procedures as well as operational efficiency… due to the family-like culture promoted by Mech-Tech’s sole President and Owner, whom Yadexy works hand in hand with, Yadexy is involved in day to day activities including direct interaction with faculty and students as well as with student services departments in addition to overseeing administrative work. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and participates in several boards related to the private education sector and other community focused initiatives. With campuses in Puerto Rico and Florida, Yadexy was part of the leadership team that led Mech-Tech College and Mech-Tech Institute through preparations for and recovery efforts when these areas were hit by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017 causing devastating damages. Since then, Yadexy has been committed to sharing their experience and “lessons learned” as well as promoting a message of resilience and endurance but most importantly, preparedness, coordination and collaboration.
