Kathy Jensen started her career in education in 2002 as an English teacher. After spending 10 years in the classroom, Kathy transitioned to a site leadership role as the Magnet and IB Diploma Programme Coordinator at Cholla High School. In 2020, Kathy transitioned to a district leadership role responsible for supporting schools implementing the AVID program. All 22 years of Kathy’s educational work have been served in the Tucson Unified School District.
Kathy completed her education at the University of Arizona, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Literature and Master’s in Teaching and Teacher Education.
Kathy lives in Tucson, AZ with her husband, daughter, and son. They enjoy watching University of Arizona softball, hiking in the Sonoran Desert, and traveling.
