Karen Filewych

Karen Filewych is an Edmonton educator, author, and presenter. She has more than twenty-five years of educational experience as an elementary teacher, school administrator, and language arts consultant. Among Karen’s books for teachers and administrators are How Do I Get Them to Write?, Freewriting with Purpose, and Literacy Leadership Matters. She is also the senior author of Pearson’s Bug Club Morphology. Karen enjoys sharing her love of literacy and empowering others through professional development for teachers, writing residencies for students, and consulting work with schools, boards, and publishers.
