Lindsey has over 20 years’ experience in Podiatry and has spent the last 6 years specialising in the management of complex diabetic foot wounds.
2001 Graduated with Honours in Podiatry from the University of Huddersfield
2001 – 2005 Worked in associate and employee roles in private practice
2005 – 2008 Podiatrist at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust
2008 – 2015 Specialist Podiatrist at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust in long term conditions, such as diabetes, PVD, rheumatological conditions, MS, MND and patents who had had strokes or brain injuries
In 2011, qualified as a DESMOND (Diabetes Education and Self-Management for Ongoing and Newly Diagnosed) Educator
2015 – Present
Specialist Podiatrist in Diabetes and Wound Care at Locala, Health & Wellbeing Community Services, managing a caseload of chronic wounds, surgical wounds, usually post amputation and trauma wounds (burns). About 80% of it is patients with diabetes, the rest being made up mainly of PVD, gout and rheumatoid arthritis wounds.
