Valéria França graduated as a primary school teacher in the UK and following initial ELT training at International House London, she moved to Brazil in the early '90s. She has worked in ELT for over 25 years and is the Head of Teacher Development at Cultura Inglesa. Her PhD research was in SLA, Social Cultural Theory and the language classroom. She is a workshop and plenary presenter at many ELT conferences. Her current research interest lies in teachers' personal relationships with their teaching persona and space.
