About
Goal setting is one of the most widely taught skills in education, leadership, and wellbeing, yet it is often poorly applied. This session explores how Theory of Constraints can change the way we approach personal goal setting by focusing not only on the destination, but on what is standing in the way.

Using Dr. Eli Goldratt’s Ambitious Target Tree as the structural backbone, participants will explore how to define a goal, identify obstacles, establish intermediate objectives, and map the actions needed to move forward. The session also connects TOC thinking with research on mental contrasting, grit, written commitment, and accountability, giving participants a practical approach they can apply to personal, team, or organizational goals.
