Elias Boletis holds a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Degree from NTUA, Greece (1980) and a MSc from the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, Belgium (1981). He has received a PhD in Applied Sciences from the University of Brussels, Belgium (1985).Elias Boletis started his industry career in aircraft propulsion. He moved to the marine sector and served for longer than 25 years at Wartsila Corporation in leading positions as Head of Technology and Business Director. He has driven the development of electronic engines, propulsion and systems. He introduced several new propulsion products and decarbonization technologies. He has left from Wartsila in 2022.He is currently Senior Advisor on Vessel Propulsion and Energy Efficiency, leading his Consulting Company ‘Enarete Marine BV’, established in the Netherlands.He is advising ship owners on the best solutions for the decarbonization of their fleet. He is contributing to new product development and especially to technical and manufacturing readiness.He is associated with RINA Marine Consulting and several industrial partners.He is the Head of the CIMAC Working Group 10 ‘Product Users’.He is a member of SNAME, ASME, Imarest.

Hanno Bromeis heads Port Energy Solutions at Hamburg Port Authority. Since 2020, he has been closely involved in advancing the port’s environmental agenda—first through leading its shore power initiatives and now broadening the scope to renewable energy production, green shipping corridors and alternative fuels to support the Port of Hamburg’s goal of net zero emissions by 2040. Before joining HPA, Hanno worked in strategy consulting with a focus on market entry and growth in various industries such as tourism, transportation and energy. He holds degrees from University of Cologne and the London School of Economics and enjoys life in beautiful city of Hamburg with his family.

Ana Arévalo is a Naval Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and holds a Master's Degree in Management Development - PMD® from ESADE Business & Law School. Her professional career has developed over the last 25 years linked to the naval and port logistics sector.

Ana is currently the Head of the Shorepower Department of the Port of Barcelona, she is leading the implementation and deployment of NEXIGEN, an ambitious, complex and strategic plan for the energy transition, electrification and decarbonisation of the Port of Barcelona.

Her conviction and passion for collaboration and effective communication, continuous learning, a cross-cutting and multidisciplinary work approach are the keys to success in developing a unique and innovative project, addressing and solving complex challenges in a comprehensive and efficient way.

Ana participates as an expert in different associations and working groups at national, European and international level on Shorepower on behalf of the Port of Barcelona and Puertos del Estado. She also participates regularly as a speaker in different technical forums and is a lecturer at the Escola Europea Intermodal transport.

Marcus Martelin, Portfolio Manager for Decarbonization Services in ABB Marine & Ports. He has extensive background and experience in marine service business with recent focus on green and sustainable solutions for ships and ports. Marcus joined ABB as R&D engineer for medium voltage drives in 1996 and has since held various positions in project management, operations and service management. He is presently responsible for portfolio management for solutions like shore power (ship and shore side), hybrid conversions, advanced power systems and energy efficiency improvements onboard vessels. He graduated in 1996 and holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology.
