Dr Stefan Sevastru
Consultant in Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine Member of Trauma Anaesthesia Group (TAG)
Dr Sevastru is a consultant anaesthetist with an interest in major trauma. He is part of the Trauma Anaesthesia Group (TAG) which works in close cooperation with the Trauma Service at the Royal London Hospital. The RLH Major Trauma Centre is a leading specialist centre with an international reputation for caring for some of the most seriously injured patients across London. It is the largest Major Trauma Centre in the UK, treating approximately 2,000 patients per year. They are also leaders in the field for developing effective, efficient, coordinated emergency response systems.
Dr Sevastru’s non-clinical areas of interest are: patient safety, translational simulation, team ergonomics and system engineering in healthcare. He has considerable experience in running high fidelity multidisciplinary simulations in conjunction with a modified Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) tool in order to identify latent risks and reduce harm in healthcare.

Xavier Monnet MD, PhD.
Deputy of the Medical Intensive care Unit, Paris-Saclay University Hospitals
Prof. Monnet has signed more than 180 articles in peer-reviewed journals to date. He earned his medical degree in 2000, with specialty in Cardiology and Intensive Care Medicine. In 2004, he obtained his PhD from the Paris-Sud University. His fields of investigation are circulatory failure, haemodynamic monitoring and heart-lung interactions.

Dr Katharine Hunt
Consultant Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care UCLH
Dr Hunt has been a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery for 17 years. In addition to Cranial and Spinal Anaesthesia, she also has an interest in Resuscitation and Airway management including the management of Tracheostomy patients both on critical care, the ward and community. She has led the Multidisciplinary Tracheostomy Team at NHNN for many years and also chaired the Trust-wide Airway Steering Committee. She has been part of the NCEPOD “On the Right Trach” project, and regularly writes and teaches about the management of tracheostomies in Medical and Allied healthcare professional settings.
