The California cannabis industry produces thousands of pounds of cannabis waste each year. Waste can include bi-products of the cultivation or manufacturing process, packaging, spoiled goods, or products that have been damaged, returned, or expired at a retailer.

Join the Farmacy Cannabis Lecture Series as we uncover the cannabis waste process and get an insider view from Gaiaca, one of California's leading cannabis waste and compliance companies.

Our guest speakers are the co-founders of Gaiaca Jonathan Lee and Garrett Rodewald who will discuss how waste is collected, reported to METRC, and the actual disposal process.

    Taylor Vozniak
    Gaiaca Sales and Marketing Manager
Originally hailing from the Philadelphia area, Taylor Vozniak graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME with a BA in Chemistry and Economics. It was there he developed his lab skills in the chemistry lab of Dr. Rick Broene, specializing in the synthesis of transition metal catalysts for the selective dimerization of alpha-olefins. Post college Taylor went on to consult for the Oil & Gas and Chemical industries, managing projects for some of the largest multinational operators in the market. It was during this time he began to specialize in polymers and started to realize the dire need for sustainable solutions for the multitude of petroleum-derived materials we use every day and often take for granted. Seeking out a change in scenery he moved to the Monterey Peninsula and began working with GAIACA to bring his chemistry-driven, sustainability-focused approach to the Cannabis Industry.
