As the world turns more uncertain in myriad ways and fears abound about the impact of AI on employment, there has never been a greater need to understand the world, its people, its histories, its environments, its cultures and its economies. In this webinar on social sciences in practice, we begin this conversation on how Political Science, Sociology, Economics and History disciplines can help students make sense of the world and their place in it. This could range from the concrete aspects of careers/jobs/professions such as policymakers, researchers, analysts, communicators, activists and entrepreneurs to broader, deeper questions about the ethics of life and living in a deeply unequal world and how we can work towards inclusive and sustainable change.
In this webinar, we offer you an orientation to the B.A. in Double Majors programme at DLHS, the vision behind the programme, the courses on offer in each of the disciplines as well as the broader academic environment that you will find yourselves a part of at DLHS.
