About
The Restless Republic: Britain Without a Crown

In a talk drawn from her new book, 'The Restless Republic', Anna Keay charts the story of the extraordinary decade that followed the execution of Charles I for treason in 1649. Ranging from the corridors of power to the streets and fields of England, and bringing to life the experiences of a diverse cast of characters, Anna will illuminate a world in which a new ideology struggled to take root in a scarred landscape. This is the story of what happened when a conservative people tried revolution.

As always, you will be able to submit your questions for Anna Keay throughout the presentation, to be answered in the live Q&A at the end of the talk.
