Mika J. Cross is a recognized human capital expert and workplace strategist, known nationally for leading government-wide initiatives on work life and wellness in the U.S. Intelligence Community post-9/11. With over two decades in federal service—including roles at the Department of Agriculture, OPM, and Department of Labor—she also served as the Designated Federal Officer for the Secretary of Labor’s Advisory Committee on Veterans Employment, Training, and Employer Outreach (ACVETEO) before transitioning to the private sector. Mika was VP of Employer Engagement and Strategic Initiatives at FlexJobs, collaborating with executives across all sectors and industries to enhance talent management, develop recruitment strategies, and leverage flexible work policies for attracting and retaining top talent.

Mika was a regularly featured guest on the ABC/7 Government Matters TV, and she regularly volunteers her time with the Senior Executives Association (SEA), the Maine Advisory Council on Remote Work and in the past with the Greater Washington Board of Trade Connected DMV Work Group, the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC) Digital/Workforce Transformation Work Group, Board Appointed HR Liaison for AFFIRM, and she previously served as the Government Chair of the Evolving the Workforce Community of Interest for ACT-IAC.

Mika is a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served on Active Duty as both a commissioned officer and an enlisted soldier. She is a native of rural Maine and for much of her career, was a working single mother to two amazing Gen-Z children.
