There are only around 100 working days until MTD for income tax becomes mandated for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income above £50,000 and many practices still have a lot to do to get themselves and their practices ready.
As we approach the holiday period and the busy season for self assessment, it’s important to understand what you need to do to be ready. Following on from our last session where we focused on how to get people on the pilot and what issues our guests had had with the pilot, we’re delighted to say that we have Craig Ogilvie, Director - Making Tax Digital at HMRC, joining us for this session.
Craig will give us an update on how the delivery of the MTD program is going as we approach the deadline. If you have a question you’d like to ask Craig or the panel, please complete our short survey (the link can be found below and here:
https://ac4tzq03.paperform.co/).
There will be an opportunity to ask any questions you might have during the session. We will also be joined by Lorraine Ellison, Chartered Management Accountant and Founder at Simply Additions Ltd, who will be sharing her experience of getting her practice ready and how she has been preparing clients.
AccountingWEB’s Jake Smith will be joined as always by Chris Downing from Sage.

Every month, the MTD Accountability Club tracks the progress of accountants and bookkeepers as they prepare for the launch of the government’s much-talked-about digitalisation of tax. Practitioners share the progress of their plans, while we focus on a key issue that might snag their progress this month.

The MTD Accountability Club is brought to you in association with Sage. If you would like to join the club and share your progress, please get in touch.
