Sam came to MDS in early 2019 with a background in the technology, telecom, and wireless spaces. Having graduated from Pace University, NYC with a degree in Marketing and Communications, her background is extensive on how to grow a brand and develop marketing strategies. By running the Marketing department at MDS, she handles content creation, social media, events, maintaining partner relationships, and lead generation for the Sales team. In her free time, Sam enjoys a good book outdoors, spending time with her dog, or watching the latest series.

Ash Marcos

Ash Marcos leads the cybersecurity practice at MDS, providing proactive preventive solutions from advanced cybersecurity threats including perimeter defense, secure network design, vulnerability discovery, penetration testing, and intrusion-detection systems. With more than 16 years of experience, Ash additionally has extensive knowledge related to regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, GLBS, PCI, SOX, GDPR, and more.

Trang works as a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant at Maureen Data Systems (MDS). She recently graduated from Pace University with her Masters of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.

She will be speaking on our Security Awareness Training Panel as she has helped develop that offering and manages the partnership with key Security Awareness companies.

Tony Carter

Sr. Principal Lead, Data & DevOps, Maureen Data Systems (MDS)

Tony is a Technology Leader, Speaker, and Solutions Architect with over 25 years of experience helping clients create efficiencies, lower operational costs, and achieve lower TCO through technology. Previously, Director of Engineering at EarthLink, Vice President of Program Management for Channel Intelligence (subsequently acquired by Google), and President/Principal Solutions Architect at Carter Solutions, Inc. Currently, focused on helping enterprises in their Digital Transformation by using Agile Practices, Data Science, DevOps, and Cloud-Native Architectures.

Jaime is a Cybersecurity Engineer at Maureen Data Systems with a focus on our Latin American practice. He recently graduated from the Katz School at Yeshiva University with a Masters of Science in Cybersecurity.

Renatto Garro

Azure Cloud Specialist, Microsoft

Renatto Garro is the Azure Specialist at Microsoft for the Caribbean region. Renatto brings over 9 years of experience managing and implementing a diverse range of Information Technology projects with a specialization in cloud computing technologies.

Over the past years, Renatto has worked with several commercial and government organizations in the U.S. and the Caribbean by helping them to define their technology strategy, business continuity plans, IT risk management, and how to use technology to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.

Renatto holds a Master of Science in Management Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, both from Florida International University. He also has several technical certifications, including MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, MCP, A+, and ITIL Foundation. Renatto also holds certifications from Harvard Business School in Disruptive Strategy and from INSEAD University on Business Strategy and Digital Transformation for Finance.

Cybersecurity & Cisco Security Specialist, Ingram Micro

Kevin Switzer is a Cisco Technology Consultant (TC) and has been with Ingram Micro’s team for over 13 years. As a TC, he is a field-focused resource that specializes in helping navigate Cisco technologies, road mapping new specializations and architectures, as well as assisting with designing and demonstrating Cisco technologies to help clients use technology to solve various business problems and needs. He is responsible for the Central US territory.

In addition to his formal education, Bachelors of Science in Computer Science Kevin holds various Cisco Certifications in Design as well as implementation and configuration for Cisco Data Center and Security Solutions. He has a passion for the Cisco Security architecture including FirePower, Malware protection, Umbrella, and Stealthwatch. Patrick lives for analytics! A technologist, first; Patrick started his career at Eckerd Corp in the EBusiness department. With a focus on providing retail customer segmentation analysis to the organization using Microsoft productivity and .Net solutions. Eventually, after moving to New York, Patrick began to focus on financial analytics and creating fraud detection solutions in the AML/KYC space. He now leads the Analytics practice at MDS.

Gene Silva joined the MDS team in 2016. With over 20 years of IT consulting experience, Gene has implemented and overseen countless mid-size to enterprise-level deployments. Michael Hamilton, CISSP, is the CISO, President, and Founder of CI Security, a leading provider of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and information security consulting services.

Michael has 30 years of experience in information security, as a practitioner, consultant, executive, and entrepreneur. Ilia Sotnikov

VP, Product Management, Netwrix

Ilia Sotnikov has over 15 years of experience in IT management and security market. Currently, he is a VP of Product Management at Netwrix, where he is responsible for product vision and strategy. Prior to joining Netwrix in 2013, he was managing SharePoint solutions at Quest Software (later acquired by Dell).

The main areas of Ilia’s expertise are cybersecurity and data governance. Being responsible for the development of Netwrix’s data discovery and classification technology, he takes these competencies to a more strategic level. He closely works with customers worldwide and gathers their feedback to align the product strategy and roadmap with their security and business needs.
