Aurelius Minerals is a well-positioned gold exploration company focused on advancing its recently acquired, and renamed, Aureus gold properties. The assets of our Aureus Gold subsidiary include a permitted underground mine and 300 tpd mill at Aureus East on care & maintenance; the Aureus West gold project; the Tangier gold project; and the Forest Hill gold project located in Nova Scotia. The company is currently executing on exploration strategy in province to define and expand a mineral resource base.

Mark NJ Ashcroft

Mark has been involved in various capacities in the global mining industry and the North American and European debt and equity markets since 1990. Mark has served as President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Aurelius Minerals, since 2016. Previously he served as President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Stonegate Agricom Ltd. from August 2008 to September 2014. Prior to that, Mark gained a MSc in Finance and then worked in mining capital markets focusing on project financing, structured metals trading, corporate finance and advisory services, in London and New York, before returning to Canada in 2003. From 1996 to 1998, he worked in Mines Technical Services at Inco Limited’s Ontario Division, where he qualified as a Professional Engineer in Ontario. From 1990 to 1996, through his undergraduate studies, Mark worked in various operating roles in North and South America and Australia. Mark holds his Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from Laurentian University and a Master’s of Science (Finance, Regulation and Risk Management) from the ISMA Centre of the University of Reading.
