Dr. Javier Piraino is originally from Southern California but has lived all over the US (including Texas, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota) during his urology training. He became a doctor because of a mentor he had when he was working as an orderly at a surgery center, and he chose urology because it provides a nice variety of surgical and clinical skills.
His favorite part about being a doctor is that he gets to make an impact on people’s lives for the better. What sets Dr. Piraino apart from other healthcare providers is that he meets the patient where they are and talks to them like they are his friend.
