Monique Vermeire
Chevron Fuels Technologist, Chevron
Holding a Master Degree in Chemistry Monique joined Texaco Technology in 1987. Since 2004, she has been in charge of all global technical support for marine distillate and residual fuels to Chevron’s marine and powergen business.
Monique is member of Cimac Fuel Oil WG7, represents Chevron in industry organisations such as IPIECA, OGCI Transportation Workstream, EI and since 2011 she is the Convenor of the ISO Classification and Specification of Marine Fuels Working Group.
Chris Chatterton
COO, Methanol Institute
Chris Chatterton joined the Methanol Institute (MI) in February 2015 as the Institute’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), where he is responsible for supporting the association’s CEO and for managing MI’s Asia pacific and Middle East operations. This includes government and strategic relationships, membership growth, and administration of the Singapore office.

Currently the Director, Innovation Lead for Sustainable Fleet Projects at Danish international shipping and logistics company DFDS. Founded in 1866 DFDS is known as one of the busiest shipping companies of its kind in Northern Europe and one of the busiest in Europe.
Kjeld Aabo
Director New Technologies Sales and Promotion Two-stroke Marine, MAN Energy Solutions
Holding a degree in mechanical engineering and a special diploma in marketing, Kjeld joined MAN Diesel (MAN Energy Solutions) in the Stationary Installation Department in 1983.
After numerous roles within MAN ES, in 2014 Kjeld Aabo was appointed as Director of new technologies in the Promotion and Sales department for two-stroke engines and GenSet engines. Kjeld Aabo is also Chairman of the CIMAC Heavy Fuel Working Group (WG), and member of the ISO 8217 Heavy Fuel Oil Working Group.
