Join Karen Ludlow, Data Manager and Consultant at 4Matrix, for a review of Ofqual’s latest consultation and guidance on exams.

Drawing on first-hand experience as a Secondary School Data Manager, Karen will discuss the evolving landscape in secondary school education and the impact the latest guidance has on staff, pupils and exam results in 2021 and beyond. Karen will explore the pros and cons of the issues the consultation has brought to light as schools and trusts pivot once again.

Ian Hawkes, Project Lead at 4Matrix, will show how flexible data solutions such as 4Matrix can be used with a proactive, diagnostic, research-based approach to help schools manage and respond to the issues they’re facing at this critical time of year.

Data Manager and Consultant at 4Matrix
Karen is a Data Manager at a secondary school in the South East, with over 10 years’ experience in this field. She has extensive knowledge of different MIS and the UK examinations system. Karen also operates as a data and support consultant for 4Matrix. Having obtained a philosophy degree at King’s College, London, Karen brings many skills to her role as Data Manager. Karen's approach is to reveal the ‘stories’ behind the data, and she works with her subject leaders to explore and interpret school information with the aim of understanding and helping improve outcomes of young people.
