Roy Luongo is the Chief Information Security Officer for the U.S. Secret Service, bringing a 34-year career across the U.S. Army, NSA, and U.S. Cyber Command to enterprise information security leadership in Washington, D.C. Previously Director of the Joint Mission Operations Center, he oversaw offensive cyber operations architectures and strategic/tactical missions supporting the Department of the Army and U.S. Cyber Command; at NSA he led the NSA Red Team and later served as Technical Director for the Interactive Operations Division. Earlier, he spent over two decades in the Army as a Signals Intelligence/Cyber professional and was among the first NSA-certified interactive operators, conducting more than 1,000 computer-network-exploitation operations. He also serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Arizona, instructs at the UMBC Training Center, and holds a master’s degree in Cyber Security and Information Systems Management.
