Waiting ListThis online twilight session will explore how PSHE education can help prevent and tackle sexual harassment and abuse as part of a whole-school approach.
Schools are now required to cover RSHE aspects of the subject, but what advice should they follow to ensure this curriculum has the greatest impact on pupil safety?
Our CEO Jono Baggaley will be joined by Dr Elly Hanson, independent Clinical Psychologist, whose research includes an exploration of pornography’s impact on young people and their relationships. Jono and Dr Elly will discuss the worrying prevalence of sexual harassment and abuse in our schools, and in society; how factors such as pornography, negative gender norms, and insufficient understanding of ‘positive sexuality’ contribute to the issue; and, how we as PSHE educators can ensure the curriculum plays a key role in safeguarding.
This latest PSHE Association Twilight Session will be of interest to PSHE leads, teachers, school leaders, safeguarding leads, governors and others that support delivery of PSHE education in schools.
