In the coming days, the DOT and FAA are planning for flight reductions by as much as 10% at the country’s 40 busiest airports. FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford says the move aims to ease pressure on controllers during the government shutdown.

The FAA reportedly intends to issue an order with more details by the close of business today.
