Let’s spend an afternoon in the field and look into one of those rare moments where everything comes together unexpectedly. In this live Start to the Art event, I’ll take you behind the scenes of this image and walk you through my entire editing process.
This wasn’t something I predicted would happen. It was one of those situations where you stumble upon a rare occurrence in nature and know you’re witnessing something special.
During the event, I’ll show you my entire workflow from start to finish on this image. You’ll see how I made decisions in the moment, how I shaped the final mood in post-processing, and how I tried to stay as true as possible to what I felt while I was there. I’ll also share my vision for the image and recap how the scene developed as it happened; it was an unexpected treat from nature.
As with every Start to the Art workflow, I’ll take this image all the way to print. I’ll walk through my paper choice, why I chose it, and what surprised me once the print was in my hands. There were a few unexpected lessons in this one, and those are often the most valuable.
You can join us on Thursday, January 22nd, at 2 PM CDT
