Dr. Alicia Peduzzi received her Ph.D. in Forestry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2011. Her research focus is on applying remote sensing science to vegetation assessment and management of natural resources, with particular emphasis on developing methodologies for precision forestry. She started as an assistant professor in precision forestry at UGA’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources in August 2020. Before UGA, she worked for the USDA Forest Service, the Woodwell Climate Research Center, and the World Bank. Over the years, Dr. Peduzzi has worked with pine plantations in the Southeast U.S. as well as with temperate and tropical natural forests, and her remote sensing expertise includes the utilization of LiDAR, radar, and optical data derived from satellites, airborne, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Her research has concentrated on generating predictive models of vegetation biophysical parameters to evaluate and monitor tree growth and productivity and, more importantly, to inform decision-making processes.

Prior to his role as the Director Forest Systems at Rayonier, Cristian has managed teams in forest modeling, remote sensing, digital soil mapping, silviculture, tree breeding, and nursery development. His career includes extensive work with Arauco, the University of Georgia, the Plantation Management Research Cooperative and World Bank. Some of his latest projects have focused on combining traditional forest modeling with artificial intelligence. He has a Master of Sciences in Forestry and a PhD in Forestry and Natural Resources with an emphasis in biomathematics and growth modeling. Cristian has contributed to more than 60 peer-reviewed publications covering topics like forest modeling, spatial forest health modeling, silviculture, forest nutrition, lidar, and biometrics.

With over 10 years at PotlatchDeltic Corporation, Robert has extensive experience leading cutting-edge digital transformations to optimize purchasing, manufacturing, and maintenance programs. During his time with the organization, he has not only helped to turn around underperforming business units, and enable scaled growth, but Robert has also championed the adoption of new technologies and processes across organizational levels. He manages enterprise-wide IT strategy across 3 separate business units with 1,500 users.

Jeremy Jones has a broad background that includes not only working with and understanding cellulosic raw materials, supply chains, sustainability, and biomass, but also how to best apply technology to each of these components to create effective solutions. His professional certifications include ISAE 3000, OpenLCA intermediate, ISO 14064, Risk Management DoD systems support, and Lean Six Sigma. Jeremy holds an M.B.A. in Fraud Management from Utica University, a Bachelor of Science in forestry and a Bachelor of Science in economics from Louisiana Tech University.
