Mitch Trehan is a regular speaker at industry events. Mitch, who started his career in the RAF before moving into financial services, has more than 18 years’ experience in Corporate Banking and in FinTech, having worked for companies including Citi, Barclays, JP Morgan, Ebury and Currency Solutions.

Mitch sits on the executive committee for the Association of Foreign Exchange & Payments Companies (AFEP) and is involved in a number of industry initiatives with the Emerging Payments Association, UK Finance, the Financial Conduct Authority, and HM Treasury.

Mike Southgate
Chief Operating Officer, Hamilton Court FX
Mike is part of the executive committee of AFEP where he works on the Banking Access, Financial Crime and Technology streams, as well as providing training and workshops to the UK regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority. He is currently the COO for Hamilton Court FX, an Authorised Payment Institution and MiFID investment firm, and is developing his own financial crime transaction monitoring system named ERMI, which seeks to use more considered crime typologies to generate monitoring alerts. He also developed Luci, a free to use fraud tool for firms in the payment industry.

Sarah has spent over 20 years working in the payments industry with FinTechs, e-money licensees, card issuers, acquirers, PSPs, schemes, operators, and mobile companies. She has developed a broad understanding of the flow of funds through Banks, FinTechs and the concerns that arise from regulators and entrepreneurs on how to create the right balance of risk, service, and commercial needs.
