Cybersecurity and Radio Equipment. Security, Regulations, and Compliance
About
The regulatory framework for radio equipment in Europe is evolving, and Delegated Regulation 2022/30/EU introduces new cybersecurity requirements that will become mandatory as of August 2025.
If you manufacture, supply, or work with wireless devices such as mobile phones, IoT equipment, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth, you need to understand what the RED Directive requires and how to ensure that your products comply with these regulations.
In this webinar, we will analyze the three new essential cybersecurity requirements included in section 3 of the RED Directive and the technical standards that accompany them:
• 3.3d: "Radio equipment does not harm the network or its operation nor misuse network resources, thereby causing an unacceptable degradation of service."
• 3.3e: "Radio equipment incorporates security measures that ensure the protection of users' and subscribers' personal data and privacy."
• 3.3f: "Radio equipment supports certain functions that ensure protection against fraud."
Additionally, we will explore the impact of these regulations and the key actions you must take to anticipate and comply with the new requirements.
