Jason is Chairman of the embedded world North America Conference and Founding Executive Director of Florida Atlantic’s Institute for Sensing and Embedded Network Systems Engineering (I-SENSE), where he is also Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His work centers on large-scale embedded sensing and analytics infrastructure, with deployments spanning water, weather, stormwater, and smart streetscape systems. He previously served as a Program Director at the National Science Foundation and has led or co-led research investments exceeding $55 million.

Dennis Smith
CEO, Nuernberg Messe North America
Dennis is the CEO of the US Subsidiary for NuernbergMesse who is the owner of the embeddedworld trade show and conference. Mr. Smith is a tradeshow veteran with over 30 years of experience organizing events in the US and around the world and has recently assumed responsibility to deliver the only event in the US that can bring the embedded technology community together under the embeddedworld North America umbrella. Dennis is well suited for this role as he has years of experience in creating business platforms specific to the technology industry and is looking forward to growing this event to exceed expectations of the embedded technology community in the US.
