LOEWE Foundation and IED Madrid have joined forces once more to promote crafts as a fundamental axis of Design, Art and Economy. Both institutions strive to raise the awareness and visibility of craft professions as a fundamental part of design and art worldwide.

Thus, LOEWE FOUNDATION has selected IED Madrid's headquarters as part of a series of activities scheduled for 2022 after the presentation in November 2021 of The Room, a new platform that gathers the work of great contemporary artisans, winners and finalists of the iconic Loewe Craft Prize.

we are delighted to invite you to a discussion panel that will gather expert artisans at the Palacio de Altamira, headquarters of IED Madrid, to discuss about craftsmanship
and its connection with tradition and the future.

Experts will participate:

Hyeyoung Cho. Secretary General of the Korea Craft and Design Foundation.
Peter Bauhuis. Metal artist.
Jiyong Lee, glass artist.

They will be moderated by

Anatxu Zabalbeascoa, architecture and design critic of El País, President of the Jury of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize.
