This webinar focuses on how thermal analysis and calorimetry techniques can be used to test, qualify, and ensure the safety and long-term stability of energetic materials specifically explosives, propellants, and their constituent components in full compliance with NATO STANAG standards.

The presentation demonstrates how Waters Materials Sciences Division (formerly TA Instruments) analytical platforms (DSC, TGA, HFC/TAM IV, DMA, and TMA) support compliance with key NATO standardisation agreements governing the characterisation of energetics and propellants, including:

Marco Coletti got his degree in Condensed Matter Physics in 2001 in Milan, Italy. He joined Waters MSD in 2007 as an Application Specialist and has since developed expertise in Thermal Analysis, Rheology and Microcalorimetry. Since 2026 he is coordinating the EMEA Application Team as Sr. Manager of Scientific Operations.
