Edit
This session will provide information about making informed choices for effective training using the five most common athlete monitoring metrics:
1) total distance,
2) high-intensity distance,
3) sprints,
4) accelerations,
5) decelerations.

Athlete monitoring has become more common among collegiate programs, but many coaches are left without a strong foundation of how to use the information to better training, reduce injury risk, improve return to play, and manage player workload. We will first define these metrics and their roles in training, injury. and lacrosse performance. Secondly, we will discuss the use of each metric to better inform and focus specific pieces of lacrosse training and how these metrics may be different across styles of play.
