A thoroughly efficient, methodical, and gentle clinician, Dr. Asha Baxi practiced abroad for a decade in the fields of obstetrics & gynaecology. Upon her return, she did pioneering work in the field of infertility and endoscopy. Her areas of interest also include teaching, and Dr. Asha regularly conducts FOGSI recognised courses in infertility and endoscopy.

After completing her MBBS from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore, Dr. Asha went on to obtain MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the same institute. As recognition of her contribution in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology, she was honoured with the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gyanecologists (FRCOG), and Fellowship of the Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FICOG).
