David Ryan

Co-Founder/Chief Financial Officer

David Ryan is a Co-Founder and CFO of Sapphire Phoenix. His executive leadership is focused on fostering a culture that serves a mission of delivering a truly differentiated client experience that is setting new standards for the upper echelon of white glove service.

Mr. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Personal Financial Planning from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He has been in the financial planning and wealth management industry since 2008. He also pursued a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management in St. Louis from 2010-2012.

Mr. Ryan holds the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor, CMFC® designation and has experience in portfolio analysis and the tenets of Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) with asset allocation and risk structures. As a Fiduciary Financial Planner, he knows the importance of a well-rounded plan that has allocations across a broad series of Investment and Insurance products.

David has taken all the Financial Planning Board of Standards courses to sit for the Certified Financial Planner designation and will be taking the CFP® exam soon. Mr. Ryan is also eligible to pursue the CPA® and CFA® designations and will look to add those credentials as he builds the Sapphire Phoenix Group. He lives in Missouri with his wife Elizabeth Ryan, DVM. They are avid outdoors people and are raising their three children in a faith-based family and love the country life on their Farm south of St. Louis.

Aislinn Kornegay

Co-Founder/Chief Executive Officer

Aislinn Kornegay is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sapphire Phoenix Financial Group. She is part executive, part Lady Boss, part adventurer and traveler, and all MOM! Add that to her over 23 years in customer service management and you have someone who is capable and excited to address any need and concern you may have regarding financial planning.

Aislinn was born in beautiful Washington state where she grew up climbing fruit trees and taking many hiking adventures. Her grandmother raised her from birth, often from the back of her own small business storefront. This experience taught Aislinn from a young age not only how to run a business, but how to build and maintain relationships with people.

For Aislinn, throughout school, academic leadership roles and achievement felt natural. This carried on for her after high school as well. She graduated with honors, earning several Associates degrees before entering Webster University. During her time at Webster, she maintained that attitude of excellence by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with an emphasis in public law and a minor in History. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa, National Dean’s List, Presidential Academic List, and was listed in the Cambridge Who’s Who Among American Students.

After graduation, Aislinn wanted to find a career that combined her fierce love for analytics with her drive to help people. She spent years working for great companies that nurtured her interests, fueled her desire to help, and helped to hone her skills that she now brings to her own company. That continued desire to help people led Aislinn to create Sapphire Phoenix as a fresh concept based on a tried and true ideal.
