In an abusive relationship, few good words get misused as much as forgiveness. Especially for the Christian victim of abuse, it can be extremely disorienting when the core message of our faith - forgiveness - is leveraged against them. It can quickly feel like God changed teams and is now supporting their abuser.  In this webinar, we will explore what forgiveness is and isn't. We'll consider ways that the concept of forgiveness gets leveraged in destructive relationships. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent people from misusing the word forgiveness. But we can prepare for the way that words like forgiveness are commonly misused, so we are less disoriented when it happens.
