What if a Career Center could influence more than just employment outcomes? Santa Clara University’s “Career Everywhere” approach shows how career development work can strengthen belonging, boost student well-being, and even support retention — by making career conversations part of how students feel seen, supported, and connected across campus.

Join the SCU Career Team for a look at how their Career Clarity Retreat brings different campus partners together to care for the whole student, not just their resume.

Executive Director, Career Center, Santa Clara University
Dylan Houle is the Executive Director of the Career Center at Santa Clara University. He brings over a decade of experience working across student success, internships, and alumni engagement, and is known for creating practical ways to build strong campus partnerships that help students thrive.

Dylan is the host of the Career Services Leadership podcast, where he talks with leaders across the field about what’s working, what’s changing, and what the future could look like. He’s also pursuing a doctorate focused on the disconnect between how important career outcomes are to students, families, and the public, and how institutions actually prioritize career services.

His work centers on building campus cultures where career conversations and opportunities happen everywhere — not just in one office — so students are better supported for life after graduation.
