James Baker
Director Asia - Shoreline Consulting
James leads Shoreline’s business in Asia. He has 30 years of financial services experience,
including 14 years within the asset management industry.
Prior to joining Shoreline, James worked with Eastspring Investments, Singapore, where he held a number of senior management positions including COO – Investments and Program Director of Eastspring’s Target Operating Model (‘TOM’) program. Previously James was Head of Prime Brokerage, Client Service for Merrill Lynch Hong Kong. He began his career with Morgan Stanley and has also held positions with Bear Stearns Asia (Hong Kong), Nasdaq Japan and Chi-X Singapore.
Brett Schechterman
Global Head of thinkFolio, IHS Markit
Mr. Schechterman has over 20 years of experience focusing on front-office technology, analytics and data strategy for institutional asset managers and asset owners.
Prior to running thinkFolio, he was most recently the North American head of product for Rimes Technologies. Prior to that, Mr. Schechterman spent 10 years at UBS Asset Management, where he served as global head of fixed income platform solutions, a team that supported 100+ investment professionals through the enhancement and front-line support of the enterprise front-office platform. Mr. Schechterman and his team partnered with technology leadership to develop and evolve a proprietary portfolio management system that is still used today to run $250b+ in diversified fixed income assets across six offices.
Peter Sherriff
Director, Product Strategy APAC - Charles River Development
Having worked in the financial and technology industries for more than 26 years, Peter joined Charles River in 2002 where he was responsible for establishing the support function in the London office for non-US clients. In 2004 Peter moved to Australia to establish the Asia Pacific operations before moving into the role of principal architect for APAC in 2008.
Andy Barrow
Head of Asia Pacific - RIMES Technologies
Andy has been with RIMES for 18 years. Prior to this, he was European product marketing director for Primark Datastream and later Thomson Financial following the merger between the two businesses.
He spent four years with Reuters in London, building analytics products for the asset manager desktop, and six years working with equity research products and proprietary benchmarks for Primark Datastream.
