About
Designing a product and getting it to functionally work is only part of the process of bringing a new product to market.

The other, and more increasingly onerous requirement, is the verification and validation requirements to prove that the product performs against any manufacturer claims as that it complies with the relevant regulatory legislation.

Using a wearable smart watch as a case study, this presentation will highlight what a manufacturer needs to think about at the start of a new product design to ensure that all the validation assessments are captured and planned throughout the product development.

Using Element’s experience, the presentation will recommend at what point derisk assessments can be performed to provide a higher degree of certainty on compliance as the product nears market readiness.

Attendees will learn:
• Why considering verification and validation at the start of a product is important
• What regulation and industry certification is needed
• How to plan this into a product development cycle
• Why performing derisk testing during a product development saves money
• Why choosing a partner wisely for verification and validation is important
