Bobby Balachandran is the founder, president and CEO of Exterro, Inc. After an extensive career building mission-critical applications in the financial services, healthcare and telecommunications sectors, Bobby founded Exterro with the conviction that the legal industry was rife with opportunities for process improvements that could be driven from lessons learned in other industries. Today, Bobby fulfills Exterro’s founding principles by leading the company in building a comprehensive platform for global corporations to mitigate risks, control costs, and have complete end to end visibility into their legal processes. Michelle Spencer oversees all finance and accounting functions for Exterro. During the past 15 years, she has led similar functions at global high-growth technology companies that provide cloud-based solutions and Software-as-a-Service systems. Earlier in her career, she held executive and senior level positions primarily with companies in legal, retail, distribution, and manufacturing industries. She earned an MBA from Duke University and holds a BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas in Austin. She is a licensed CPA.

Ajith Samuel, Exterro's Chief Product Officer and cofounder of the company, leads the company’s product strategy team in creating innovative solutions to help large corporations identify and mitigate data risks.. Ajith has 15 years of experience in regulatory compliance and designing and architecting large-scale information systems for the futures industry. He holds a master’s degree in computer applications from St. Joseph’s in Trichy, India.

Dr. Thangasami is responsible for overseeing all functions at the Exterro R&D office, which includes software development, technical support and corporate management. With more than 10 years of research experience in distributed data sciences and doctoral degrees in computer science and engineering, she is ideally qualified to lead Exterro’s big data strategy and development of predictive and prescriptive analytics. In addition to her doctoral degrees, she also has earned a master’s degree in business administration.

A successful, dynamic, sales-driven executive with 20+ years of superior performance in sales and sales leadership, Jim Cox has more than a decade experience in cybersecurity and has built and led teams across the globe that deliver exceptional results. Jim's teams are known for driving exceptional growth with a culture of teamwork, outstanding partnerships and world-class execution. While at Proofpoint, Jim built a network of CISOs and executive clients that helped the organization scale from $100M to $1.4B in just over six years.

Jim was born and raised in Chicagoland, studied engineering at the University of Illinois and now lives with his wife on a small ranch near Austin in the Texas Hill Country. Outside of work, you will find him spending time with his family, taking care of the animals, or enjoying the live music scene in the area.

Paul Valentino is the Chief People Officer for Exterro. Prior to Exterro, he spent 6 years at Proofpoint in human resources leadership roles, including as Chief People Officer. At Proofpoint, Paul was responsible for driving global business growth through people-centric human resources initiatives, including key talent development, DEI and wellness programs. Paul has over 30 years of experience, including a variety of human resources roles at Velodyne Lidar, Rambus, Juniper Networks, and Synopsys.
Paul is an accomplished Human Resource professional with extensive experience in all HR functions and recognized business acumen that integrates HR and business strategy with dynamic business environments. He is a proven partner with senior leaders ensuring a common direction and leadership for the business and is recognized for developing organizational structures and workforce plans that support change. Paul holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Shashidhar Angadi serves as CIO/CTO and is also a cofounder of Exterro. He oversees innovation, development, infrastructure, and security. Shashi brings nearly 27 years of experience developing large scale enterprise solutions and platforms. He has been instrumental in driving technology direction and creating breakthrough solutions in creating a world class eDiscovery and information governance platform at Exterro. He manages a geographically dispersed team of world class engineers to drive rapid growth. Shashi has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Bangalore University and an MBA from Jones School of Business, Rice University.

Mike Stacy is the Global Vice President of Solutions Engineering at Exterro, where he leads a worldwide team focused on helping organizations solve complex challenges in digital forensics, privacy, and legal technology. With over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise solutions, Mike has advised both private and public sector organizations on topics such as cloud security, GRC, insider risk, and data security. Prior to joining Exterro, Mike was Director of Cloud Security at Microsoft and has held various leadership and strategy roles at companies such as Proofpoint and Polycom (now HP). Mike is based in Denver, Colorado and holds degrees in Information Systems and Business Management from Baylor University and a Chief Technology Officer certificate from the University of California, Berkeley.

Harsh Behl is a highly experienced professional in the field of product management and digital forensics. Harsh has held various key roles in leading technology companies, focusing on developing and implementing technical solutions to meet client needs. With a background in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Harsh has a proven track record of driving revenue growth and operational efficiency through innovative product strategies and tailored technical solutions.

Rebecca Perry is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Exterro. Rebecca has been with Exterro almost 30 years. She works with legal, IT, Compliance and Privacy professionals, along with their outside counsel, to accelerate compliance and mitigate risks in the areas of Data Privacy, Data Retention, Data Inventory/Mapping, Data Breach, E-Discovery & Digital Forensics.

Rebecca has been a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the last 10 years and has been in the trenches with clients helping them solve complex data governance challenges.

Rebecca speaks frequently on these topics to groups like the Association of Corporate Counsel, IAPP, PrivSec, Data Protection World Forum and Today's General Counsel. Rebecca also manages strategic partnerships with legal service providers and works closely with law firm partners.

Jean Donaldson is a Sr. Director, Solutions Consulting at Exterro where she has been a subject matter expert in our product set for 9 years. Prior to joining Exterro, Jean spent 12 years at small law firms in the DC area as the IT Manager/Lit Support manager and 2 years working for Lockheed Martin embedded in the Civil Division of the DOJ where she was the Program Manager for the Litigation Support Training Department and Help Desk.

As a former practicing attorney, Nancy understands the difficulties and challenges facing in-house legal professionals and their counterparts as their areas of responsibility are rapidly expanding into compliance, data control, and managing data risk. For over a decade, Nancy has worked for Exterro and is at her best when working side-by-side with clients to imagine new possibilities for solving a variety of challenges using the Exterro technology platform. Natasha Garnett is a results-oriented leader with over 20 years of experience in product strategy. Previously, Natasha was VP of Product Management at Sonasoft, where she defined product visions and optimized cross-functional teams. She has also held significant roles in UX/UI development and client engagement. Natasha ensures high-quality user experiences from concept to market adoption.

Angie Hoffman is a Solutions Consultant, specializing in Privacy, at Exterro. She started her legal, compliance and information governance career at Jordan Lawrence, which was later acquired by Exterro. She has worked with hundreds of companies to identify their data and help them to manage it compliantly and defensibly, as a Professional Services Manager, then later as a Senior Client Success Manager. Now with over 10-years’ experience, Angie is a Solutions Consultant and is showcasing Exterro’s privacy solutions to customers and prospective buyers. Angie has worked with companies such as Santander Bank, lululemon, Fifth Third Bank, NHL and Cedar Fair. Volunteering is near and dear to her heart and she specifically enjoys volunteering for JDRF, supporting their mission to cure Type One Diabetes.

Michelle LaRock, CEDS has been with Exterro for over eight years, primarily serving as a Senior Project Manager in E-Discovery software implementation. With extensive experience leading complex client engagements, Michelle now works as a Professional Services Consultant, helping organizations optimize their use of the platform through best practices and tailored workflow solutions.

Aaron Canney specializes in end-to-end eDiscovery, data management, and workflow optimization. With more than seven years of experience managing large-scale document reviews for federal agencies and Fortune 500 companies, he is an eDiscovery attorney who currently serves as a Case Manager in Professional Services at Exterro. In this role, Aaron consults with legal teams to streamline their operations—helping them regain control over complex data, reduce legal spend, and successfully integrate Exterro’s AI solutions into their litigation strategies.  

Amy Waldfogle joined Exterro’s eDiscovery training team in December 2025. In her role, she leads Legal Hold courses and manages scheduling and record-keeping for the Group Live Training series.
Amy brings a diverse background in education and technology to the team, having held customer success and implementation roles supporting SaaS solutions in cybersecurity, EHS, and payroll. Prior to her tech career, she taught high school science and theatre.
Based in Cincinnati with her family, Amy spends her free time working on local theatre projects, riding roller coasters, and crocheting while catching up on favorite TV shows.

Dan Sumpter is a US Army MP Veteran and has previous work history in state corrections before retiring as a Detective from the Elyria Police Department in Ohio in 2019. Dan was a Digital Forensic Examiner and was certified from the Ohio Police Officers Academy as a Digital Evidence Recovery Specialist. Dan was an ICAC affiliate and still holds his police commission. Dan's formal education consists of 1yr Technical certificates in Digital Forensics and Police Science, Associate's Degree in Police Science, BS in Criminal Justice, and is currently completing his MS in Cyber Security. Dan has been employed at AccessData/Exterro for over 4yrs and is the Director of Training.

Rob began his Corporate Communications Compliance, Governance, and eDiscovery career in 2003. Working for organizations such as Veritas, Symantec, Mimecast, Actiance, Smarsh, Zix, and now Exterro, he has experience with nine different eDiscovery platforms working in highly regulated verticals such as Finance, Healthcare, Insurance, and Manufacturing. Rob is also currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University majoring in Cybersecurity with a specialization in AI.

Brenda Dodd is VP of Product and GTM for eDiscovery at Exterro with more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of law and technology. Beginning her career as a litigation paralegal and going on to lead eDiscovery programs in-house at PNC Bank and Mylan Pharmaceuticals, she brings a rare, well-rounded perspective spanning financial services, life sciences, law firms, and government. Leveraging a distinctive combination of legal and technical expertise, Brenda has helped organizations implement and adopt technology that reduces cost, improves efficiency, and mitigates data risk across eDiscovery, privacy, and data governance—consistently translating complex data challenges into practical, defensible solutions. Kate Davenport has been a Forensic Training Instructor at Exterro for over four years, researching, teaching, developing training curriculum, and participating in beta testing. An avid researcher, she is particularly proud of developing the Advanced Artifacts Analysis course, which takes students on a deep dive into Windows forensics. This class features her much-loved USB forensic treasure hunt.
Prior to coming to Exterro, Kate managed labs in both the private and public sector, working a variety of civil and criminal cases including some high-profile cases. It was through managing and training others in the lab that Kate found her passion to teach, sharing her knowledge and experience. Kate holds several industry certifications and attended Champlain College for her formal digital forensics education.
Hailing from the Baltimore area, Kate loves the Ravens, Orioles, and Knicks (go Knicks!), anything outside, games, and playing with her dogs in her spare time.

Matt Abadie is Senior Vice President of Professional Services at Exterro, where he leads the global services organization responsible for implementation, training, and presales across the full Exterro product portfolio, including eDiscovery, digital forensics, privacy, and data governance. His team owns the customer journey from pre-sale scoping through go-live and adoption, unifying Exterro's eDiscovery and Forensics services under one leadership structure. Mr. Abadie is currently building AI- and agent-driven delivery operations that bring real-time customer intelligence to services delivery, an approach he believes will define the next generation of professional services in legal technology.
Prior to joining Exterro, Mr. Abadie spent 30 years scaling consulting, professional services, and cloud operations organizations across enterprise software. He directed global business operations for SAS Institute's cloud portfolio, serving more than 600 enterprise customers, and previously led a 100-plus-person global professional services organization at IBM and AT&T focused on enterprise commerce and cloud application delivery, including work with some of the nation's largest financial institutions. His background spans P&L ownership, legacy-to-SaaS transformation, and post-acquisition customer migration, giving him a practical view of what it takes to deliver complex technology programs at scale.
Mr. Abadie holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is based in Durham, North Carolina.

Steve has 30 years of experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, and incident response. He began his career with KPMG's Information Risk Management practice, where he performed security audits and penetration testing, before leading the cybersecurity department for a large private financial services company that pioneered the introduction of wireless handheld trading technology into the financial markets.
Throughout his career, Steve has held technical and leadership roles with Raytheon, 16 years with EnCase, and 10 years with AccessData/Exterro. He has worked alongside numerous law enforcement agencies and U.S. government organizations, including the Intelligence Community, the Department of War, the Department of Energy, the U.S. Secret Service, the Department of Justice, the Department of State, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and many others. His expertise spans cybersecurity, digital forensics, incident response, and investigative technologies.
Outside of his professional career, Steve is passionate about mentoring and giving back to his community. He volunteers extensively with Scouting America and other youth organizations. He is also a certified firearms instructor in multiple disciplines, a licensed amateur radio operator, and an avid photographer. When time allows, he enjoys the shooting sports and connecting with amateur radio operators around the world.

Bree Murphy is a senior e-discovery and legal operations professional with nearly 30 years of experience helping organizations manage complex litigation, investigations and regulatory matters. Ms. Murphy partners with corporate legal departments to strengthen e-discovery and information governance programs, improve legal hold processes and implement practical workflows that reduce risk while increasing operational efficiency.
Prior to joining Exterro as a Senior Consultant and Strategic Account Executive, Ms. Murphy held e-discovery leadership roles at a global insurance company and a leading legal services provider.
