About
Air Traffic Technology International is proud to announce its second virtual roundtable, which will focus on the implementation of unmanned traffic management services and their integration into ATM operations.

While Covid-19 is presenting challenges for international aviation, the development of autonomous aircraft, from package delivery drones to passenger-carrying aircraft, and the infrastructure to support them, is continuing unabated. Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) must pursue a strategic approach to facilitating UTM services in order to support the societal and economic benefits of autonomous aircraft.

Participants will discuss the technologies required and the actions that ANSPs need to take to ensure unmanned aircraft can be integrated, managed and controlled in their airspace effectively, efficiently and safely. Discussion will focus on the necessary technical features of a comprehensive UTM service, from registration databases and interoperable tracking solutions and how they will integrate into current ATM systems and operations.

Our expert panel members will also consider the wider issues around the development of UTM and its implications for the global ATC sector, covering the latest developments in rules and standards in both Europe and the USA.

Topics to be covered include:

• What technology is required to enable Beyond Visual Line of Sight flight and when will BVLOS be widespread?
• What action is being taken on the regulatory challenges of UTM
• Investments in ground-based technology for communications and airspace management
• Risk management and safety within new operational concepts
