This course provides a comprehensive review of the federal tax rules governing partnership liquidations and final compliance. Participants will examine the tax treatment of liquidating distributions, partner outside basis, tax capital accounts, hot assets under IRC §751, debt allocations, and the reporting requirements associated with a final Form 1065. The course also addresses the practical steps required to close payroll accounts, satisfy federal and state filing obligations, and properly document the dissolution of a partnership.
